Facebook Privacy You may have realised that on Facebook you are able to restrict who sees certain information about you. Facebook applications have different rules however and are able to access all your private information by default.

If you regularly enter Facebook quizzes you might be surprised to find that quiz apps have access to a lot of your and your friends private information.

A facebook quiz has been released to highlight this problem and shows how much information is given away. Called what do quizzes know about you? it take you through a couple of questions and gives you the lowdown on Facebook Application Privacy. It’s been released by the American Civil Liberties Union.

Quiz developers don’t necessarily have privacy policies and if they do who is seeing that they follow them? The developers could possibly use the info for anything…a scary thought.

The next time you are about to enter the latest new moon quiz you may give it a second thought.

Had any bad experiences with facebook apps? Let us know in the comments…
